The venue
The convention centre by the sea
The CCIB stands at Plaça de Willy Brandt, in the Diagonal Mar and Fòrum area at the eastern end of Avinguda Diagonal. Much of Barcelona’s medical and scientific congress calendar takes place here, from specialist societies of a few hundred delegates to international congresses filling the whole building.
The area has its own cluster of hotels, but many delegates stay in the city centre or near Plaça d’Espanya and travel to the CCIB every morning. That daily journey crosses the city, so it is worth planning.

The route
From the airport and the city
From El Prat the journey takes around 30 minutes without traffic, using the ring roads. From the city centre allow 15 to 25 minutes depending on the hotel. Times are approximate and longer at rush hour.
At the airport the driver tracks the flight and waits in arrivals with a name sign, with 60 minutes of free waiting from the actual landing time.

Where delegates stay
Hotels near the CCIB and across the city
Hotels around Diagonal Mar and Poblenou are the closest to the CCIB, and some delegates walk. Others stay in the Eixample, near Plaça de Catalunya or by Plaça d’Espanya, where the choice is wider. From those areas the morning journey crosses the city and depends on traffic on Diagonal and the ring roads.
Tell us the hotels and the session times and we suggest realistic pickup times, with margin for the morning rush. For faculty and speakers with fixed slots in the programme, we build in extra time so nobody arrives at the podium in a hurry.

Can I cancel?
Yes. With 24 hours or more notice cancellation is free; for group proposals the conditions are stated in the written quote.
What is included in the price?
The transfer for the passengers and luggage you declare, flight tracking, meet and greet with a name sign at the airport and the free waiting time: 60 minutes at the airport, 15 minutes at hotels. Child seats are available for a supplement.
How many delegates can travel together?
Up to 14 people per vehicle. For larger groups we coordinate several vehicles on the same schedule.
