Two venues, two journeys
Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuïc are not in the same place
Fira de Barcelona runs two exhibition sites, and many visitors discover on the first morning that they booked a hotel for the wrong one. Fira Gran Via is at Av. Joan Carles I 64, in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, between the airport and the city, and hosts the largest fairs and congresses. Fira Montjuïc is on Av. Reina Maria Cristina, next to Plaça d’Espanya, at the foot of Montjuïc hill, and hosts smaller and more specialised events. Always check on the organiser’s website which site your event uses.
From the city centre the two journeys are different. Montjuïc is close: it is a short ride from Plaça de Catalunya or Passeig de Gràcia. Gran Via is further out, and you cross into L’Hospitalet. From Sants station, Gran Via is a short ride of roughly a quarter of an hour, and Plaça d’Espanya is next door.
Your options
Metro, taxi or private transfer: what each is good for
The metro is a predictable option on a normal day, and if you travel alone with a laptop bag it is hard to beat. Plaça d’Espanya, the stop for Montjuïc, is served by several lines, and Gran Via has its own metro stations on line L9 Sud, which is the same line that serves the airport. In fair weeks trains are fuller at opening time, so allow extra margin.
A taxi from the rank or an app is convenient for one or two people with no luggage, but at the end of a fair day demand is high and waiting times are unpredictable around the venue. The fare is metered, so the final price depends on traffic.
A licensed private transfer makes sense when you travel in a group, carry roll-ups, samples or a suitcase, must reach a hall for a fixed time, or simply want to know the price before you leave the hotel. You see the fixed price in the search box above, with no surcharge for traffic, and the driver waits for you at the address you give.

Timing
When to leave the hotel
- For the first morning of a big fair, leave earlier than you think: roads and metro are at their busiest in the hour before opening.
- From the city centre, allow 20 to 30 minutes to Gran Via and 10 to 20 to Montjuïc, more at peak times.
- If you collect a badge on arrival, add time for the queue at registration.
- For the return, ask for a pickup shortly before closing or after the main rush; the venue sets the pickup points and we agree the exact one with you.
- If your plans change, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.
Several days
A fair of three or four days
If your team needs the same run every morning and evening, you do not have to book each trip. Send us the hotel, the venue, the days and the opening times, and we prepare one written quote with all the runs. You can also read how our hotel to Fira shuttles work, or ask for a car with driver by the hour if the day includes meetings in the city.

Send us the event, the dates, the number of people, the arrival flights and your billing details. We reply with a written fixed quote covering every transfer, so you can approve it internally before anyone travels. Nothing is stored on this website: the template opens in your own email or WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions
Can I take a taxi from Sants to Fira Gran Via?
Yes, there is a rank at the station. The journey is short, about a quarter of an hour, but the fare is metered and the queue at peak times is not under anyone’s control. If you want to know the price beforehand, book a private transfer: the fixed price appears above.
Which venue is my event at?
Check the organiser’s website. Fira Gran Via hosts the largest fairs and congresses; Fira Montjuïc hosts smaller, specialised ones. Some events use both.
Do you pick up from my hotel in the city centre?
Yes. Enter the hotel address when you book. The driver waits up to 15 minutes at hotels and other addresses, at no extra charge.
Is the price fixed even in fair weeks?
Yes. You see the price before you book and it does not change with traffic. An extra stop on the day is agreed with you before the journey.
Can you issue an invoice for my company?
Yes, with VAT. Add the company name and VAT number when you pay by card on the secure booking page.
What if I only need a one-way trip to the fair?
No problem. You can book a single trip, and add the return at any time, with the same free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.
